 Day Kimball Healthcare Cycling for Cancer Care

 


The 2nd Annual Cycling for Cancer Care event will
be held on August 14, 2010 alongside the 21st Annual Day Kimball Healthcare Deary Memorial Road Race & Walk!

In 2009, cycling "ride" categories were added to the DKH Deary Memorial Road Race & Walk and in its first year Cycling for Cancer Care raised over $7,000 to be donated to the Day Kimball Hospital Deary Memorial Cancer Fund! All funds rasied will once again benefit the Deary Memorial Cancer fund with all monies staying local to benefit our friends and neighbors! 

In 2010 cyclists have the option to participate in either the 5 mile "Family Fun/Cookie Ride", the 15 mile "Adventure Ride" or the 30 mile "Cathy's Ride & Velo Club Challenge". All of the routes take riders through and around Putnam.

  • Helmets are required.
  • All participants will be required to sign a liability waiver.
  • "Team Recognition" awards will be given to ALL teams who raise $250 or more.
  • The "Champion Fundaiser" award will be given to the person or team who raises the most funds for the Deary Memorial Cancer Fund.
  • The "Team Spirit" award will be given to the team creating the most excitement and energy. 
  • Cycling caps will be given out to the first 200 cyclists to register.
  • Remember the Cycling for Cancer Care event is not a race, but a recreational fundraising ride.

To register, fill out the registration form and mail back to the DKH Development Office, P.O. Box 632, Putnam, CT 06260. Please make checks payable to DKH Cycling for Cancer Care.

Location:    Start and Finish at J.D. Coopers Restaurant in Putnam, CT

Entry Fees:

$20 per rider before August 7th.

$30 after August 7th.
